The BAMF informs: REAG/GARP: Short-term rebookings or cancellations of returns planned for June 13-16, 2025, to Iran, Iraq, Syria, and Jordan due to the current situation in the Middle East
Due to the current situation in the Middle East, the airspace of Iran, Iraq, and Israel, among others, has been closed according to the latest information.
This has direct consequences for planned voluntary returns to the above-mentioned destination countries, as well as to transit countries such as Türkiye and Qatar. Some airlines are already canceling bookings on their own initiative. Overall, the booking situation of the airlines is currently very unclear, which is why it is not possible to provide binding information at this time.
We have therefore decided to rebook or cancel flights booked for the period from June 13, 2025, to June 16, 2025, to the destination countries Iran, Iraq, Jordan, and Syria, where possible. The case workers are already contacting the responsible application transmission offices (AÜSen) in the affected cases.
We will continue to monitor the situation and inform you about the further procedure for flights planned after June 16, 2025.
The latest information on the further classification of events can be found on relevant news portals.
