Information on international flights regarding countries of return
News about travel conditions for a safe voluntary return
The border closures and entry restrictions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as restrictions on international air traffic and internal mobility in some countries, are in constant development and still subject to change. This has affected the application of voluntary return and reintegration programs in some countries of origin.
Details of the actual entry and quarantine conditions as well as incidental quarantine costs are important factors to consider when planning a voluntary return and reintegration. To provide interested parties with a current overview, IOM is closely monitoring the situation and collecting information about the most relevant target countries. IOM Germany works closely with other IOM colleagues from the regional and country offices worldwide to collect reliable country reports that supplement the information from official sources, such as those from the Federal Foreign Office and the International Air Transport Association (IATA).
Since border closures have been adapted and flight connections are limited, IOM will keep updating its partners on news pertaining to the target countries where a safe return is possible again.
