Armenian Caritas

The Armenian Caritas is a non-governmental organization which provides assistance to deported and voluntary returnees to Armenia on the individual as well as family level, helping them to reintegrate and build a new life within 12 months.

Based on the individual needs of the returnee, the following services are offered:

  • Reception at the airport
  • Search for (temporary) housing
  • Setting up a small business or finding a job (providing non-interest loans for business)
  • Finding appropriate training or education
  • Information about the country
  • Administrative support
  • Legal support
  • Finding useful contacts and networks
  • Referral to healthcare institutions

The partner countries of Armenian Caritas migration and integration projects are Austria, Belgium, Germany and Netherlands.
There are two types of cases: referred (directed) and not-referred. The decisions for assistance type and size of amount of referred cases are made by the organizations of the partner countries while the decisions for beneficiaries of not-referred cases are made by the criteria of the projects of Armenian Caritas.
