IOM opens return counselling centres in Rhineland-Palatinate
Since May 2020, IOM has successfully started a joint project with the Ministry of Integration to expand return counselling in Rhineland-Palatinate.
The aim of the project is to ensure an independent, open-ended, and anonymous return counselling to people in the public reception centers for asylum seekers (AfA) in Trier, Kusel, Speyer and Hermeskeil.
Migrants interested in voluntarily returning to their countries of origin are supported in their decision-making on possible voluntary return by the provision of current and relevant information.
Due to the restrictions imposed by Covid-19, IOM is also temporarily providing a hotline for people interested in return throughout Rhineland-Palatinate.
