RIAT (Reintegration Assistance Tool) is the digital platform for online applications for the "European Reintegration Programme (EURP)"

Applications for the EURP can only be submitted via RIAT. RIAT is managed on an independent platform of the EU Commission and complies with the requirements of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). The platform is used by applicant authorities and institutions (return counselling centres) of all European member states, the local reintegration partners of the countries of origin, Frontex and the EU Commission. The use of a common system makes it possible to obtain detailed information on the status of the application process in real time and to make the actual departure more transparent for everyone involved along the return chain.

In order to register as a user for RIAT and to submit applications, participation in a RIAT training course is mandatory due to data protection requirements of the EU Commission.

From September 2024, a new training concept will be launched, which will shorten the RIAT training to a single 3-hour online training course.

This also means that in future every interested person will have to register for the training independently in advance. Instructions for registration and the documents required for this can be found under Downloads at the end of this page.

In the training itself, you will learn how to complete a RIAT application completely and correctly. You will also be given a general overview of the RIAT platform and the EU Reintegration Programme (EURP), as well as contacts you can turn to if you have any questions or problems related to RIAT.

Next training dates:

Wednesday, 16.10.2024, 9.00 a.m. – 12.00 p.m.

In order to be able to carry out the training measure successfully, it is necessary to limit the number of participants to a maximum of 25 people. Registrations are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.

To take part in the 3-hour RIAT training, you must register by sending an email to the mailbox RIATsupport@bamf.bund.de, providing the following information:
- Name of the participating person
- Name of the body submitting the application (AÜS)
- Federal State
- E-mail address
